Oil and Refinery
Aluminum sol has a very large surface area and activity. In the preparation of petroleum catalytic cracking catalysts, aluminum sol can be used as a carrier or a precursor of gel to provide dispersion and fixation of active components, thereby enhancing the activity and stability of the catalyst.
In the treatment of petroleum refining wastewater, polyaluminium chloride (PAC) is added. Through electro-neutralization, the emulsification is disrupted, resulting in the formation of flocs that settle and remove colloidal oil and some organic substances.
